Built in 1956 by the Budd Company for the Chicago, Burlington & Quincy Railroad for service on the Denver Zephyr and operated between Chicago and Denver. CB&Q sold the car to Amtrak and was sold into private ownership before the "Heritage Fleet" program bagan. Silver Vale is a 10 roomette/6 double bedroom sleeper and it is known as a center bedroom car (double bedrooms in center of the car). This is a very original and complete car and comes with the full exterior skirts. Some of the mechanical details include: Stainless construction, 32V D/C electrical system, ISSH trucks, rotating end cap bearings, air decelostats, great body and roof, D-22 valves, C-frame disc brakes, markers, H couplers.
