Built in 1966 as a steel caboose for the Illinois Central Railroad in their Centralia Shops. Caboose is in very original condition and some of the mechanical/physical attributes include: Fair body and roof, roller bearings wheel sets in friction bearing boxes (not legal for interchange), typical ICRR deep platforms at each end, extended vision cupola, 5x9 bearings, fair to good wheels, AB valves, axle driven 12v generator, fuel oil stove, Microphor toilet and processing tank, 12v D/C electrical system, interior water tank, ice box.
Note: Buyer will need to provide Lability Certificate of Insurance naming Seller and Property Owner as additional insured until car is removed from the property. We can recommend several carriers who can provide coverage on railcars.
