50 Kw, 480 volt, 3-phase Detroit Diesel genset, came off of a passenger car within the past 6 years. The engine is a 4 cylinder GM diesel with a blower and appears to be a 453 series engine. The motor does have reference numbers which include:
Block # 5125424, Casting # GWC K155, Block # 2956781, Exhaust manifold # 5100146
Fluids and filters changed in 2013 and the engine was started and ran.
The generator was made by Lima Electric in 1992. It is a 3 phase, 60 Hz, 12 lead, 50 fan for the radiator. The radiator has been cleaned, rodded out and pressure tested. Kw generator capable of producing either 240 volts or 480 volts. It is currently configured for 480V, 3-phase. The serial number is AD 154622 CPH. The generator is built around a 360 frame SER. After calling Marathon Electric (the company which took over Lima Electric) it was noted that parts are still available for this generator.
The name of the contact at Marathon Electric will be included in the sale. The unit is housed in a Waukesha frame and is designed to fit under a rail car. The total number of hours on the unit is unknown.
