Built in 1962 for the Cotton Belt as GP20 #815, sold to the Southern Pacific and rebuilt in 1974 at their Sacramento Shops into a GP20E (turbo removed and 645 power assemblies installed). Unit is stored serviceable and some of the mechanical details include: 567 block with 645 power assemblies, rates at 2,000 HP, D22BT main generator, good wheels, D57 or better traction motors, 26L brakes, alignment control couplers, last blue card date 11/1/2016 ( when blue card expired unit had the water drained, exhaust capped, and battery disconnected), dynamic brakes currently out of service, new Aux Gen in 2010, new governor in 2015, new #3 traction motor 2016.
