Built in 1949 by the Budd Company for the New York Central Railroad as a five double bedroom observation lounge car. Converted to a private car and was in the process of being rebuilt when a spark in the sub floor set the car on fire and burned out the interior. There is some roof damage near service door, seller will include the stainless fluting for the car. Would make a great conversion to a open air observation car or for commercial stationary use. The mechanical details include: Stainless steel construction, H couplers, NYC R-10-XR trucks with comp shoes, decelostats, grease bearings.
