We do not have much history on this item but we do know it was built in 7-78 for the Burlington Northern Railroad as a caboose. It was retired and sold into private ownership, the one end of the car has been cut open to create a storage shed. Overall the body is in great condition, the open end can be converted into an open platform or porch.
