Built in as a coach for the Great Northern Railroad and operated on their famed train the Empire Builder. In the 1970's the car was sold to the Central Railroad of New Jersey and operated in commuter service. Sold into private ownership in the 1990's and converted into a lounge car. Some of the physical/mechanical attributes include Good body and roof, ISSH trucks with rotating end cap bearings, H couplers, D-22 valves (in date), disc brakes, great wheels (see wheel report in the document section of this listing), drop equalizers, disc brakes, under car fuel tank, updated electrical locker ( 480v electrical but no HEP) interior has brand new carpet and paint, custom built bar with ample storage and new electrical outlets for appliances, sound system with Bluetooth & microphone, LED lighting, Microphor toilet, new sink, 100 gal holding tank, 55 gal interior water tank, NEW 42 lounge seats & spares), side tables,  The car is also equipped with a 110v standby which powers the freeze protection and lights when car is not in service. And the car has a 39KW 480V diesel generator (has a electrical fault but easy repair) and hydronic heat, which was updated in the 1990's.
