Northwest Rail Electric generator control panel, model NW-GC503GNC. This panel was designed for remote starting and stopping of the generator. It features indicators for low oil level, low coolant level, low oil pressure, high coolant temperature, over cranking and over speed of the engine.  This panel has remote start of the engine and a light indicating the engine has started. It also controls the automatic shut down of the engine should the engine show low oil pressure, overspeed or high temperature of the coolant. There are gauges for battery output, running hours of the engine, coolant temperature and oil pressure. This panel also has the capability of automatically switching to the generator in the event HEP is lost or down. Another feature of the panel is that it can feed power through the HEP connections to another car.
