Built in 1955 by the Budd Company as an RDC1 for Boston & Maine Railroad. Sold to Massachuttes Bay Transportation Authority in 1976. Retired by MBTA and sold into private ownership, used in excursion service and then retired. While in service on the MBTA the car was converted into a trailer coach with only one engine for lights, HVAC. Some of the mechanical features include: Stainless steel construction, D-22 brake valves, disc brakes, DC electrical system, grease bearings, H couplers, snack bar, PA system, some updated A/C electrical circuits, RV toilets, walk over seats, good wheels.
