Built in July of 1970 as part of Lot #1519 for the Chesapeake & Ohio Railroad as a steel caboose. Retired by the railroad and sold into private ownership, current owner restored the car to like NEW condition. This is a restoration that has to be seen to be appreciated! Some of the mechanical details include: Stunning Imron exterior paint, interior paint is Sherwin-Williams commercial enamel, interior bunks and chairs have NEW upholstery, interior floor has been refinished, restored oil fired stove, operating gravity water system, 12v electrical system and runs off a gas powered generator (can be connected to original axle generator), car was jacked and trucks rolled out and center plates lubricated, APEE bearings, ABD brake valves, new window screens, cushion center sill, beautifully restored interior. #3300 would make a great addition to any museum or tourist railroad. This type of restoration is very rare and a great find!
