Built in 1948 by International Railcar for the Clinchfield Railroad as a steel caboose. With a round of mergers #1073 eventually became the property of CSXT Railroad who retired the car in 1990 and it was sold into private ownership. Some of the mechanical details include: Great body & roof, axle drive generator, original electrical system, chemical toilet, original friction bearing trucks (go with the car and in same storage location), include a section of display track, oil fired heater, flip over seats in cupola, lexan windows, several steps are removed but go with the car. This car is very original and complete, would make a great museum display or charter caboose for a tourist railroad.
