NOTE: Primary listing is for the actual flat cars. If you wish to purchase a flat car w/camp module or just a camp module please contact us.
Built as class F-30 flat cars for the Pennsylvania Railroad by General Steel Industries circa 1950-60's. Converted by Conrail & Norfolk Southern into MOW Camp Cars with various floor plans. The cars would be ideal for captive service MOW service or for an open air car on Tourist Railroads. Cars are over 50 years old so they will require a waiver to move on their own wheels. Or they can also be trucked from their current location. Configured in a variety of appropriate models for their respective needs – kitchen, dining, office and multiple apartment types (end, center or single entry). The age of the modular bodies ranges from the earlier models built in the late 1970s, to some sourced in the mid-2000s. The units have sleeping for 4-8, showers, refrigerators, heat, and air conditioning. Some of the physical/mechanical attributes include good car body, rotating end cap bearings, AB brake valves, good decks.
PLEASE NOTE: The proceeds for the sale of these cars will go to support the homeless.
