Union Pacific Diner #4811
Built by American Car & Foundry in 1946 as a 17 car order for the Union Pacific Railroad for service on the City of San Francisco, City of Los Angeles, City of Portland & City of St. Louis. Sold to Amtrak and renumbered 8095, retired by Amtrak and sold into private ownership. This is a pretty original car and would make a great addition to any museum or dinner train. Some of the mechanical details include: Aluminum construction, good body, ISSH trucks, oil & grease bearings, H couplers, D-22 valves, comp shoes, very original interior, DC electrical, steam heat, original kitchen, (some personal items stored inside car are not included).
