Built in 1950 for the Louisiana & Northwest Railroad express caboose. This type of car was common on shortline railroads after the demise of their passenger service. In addition to serving as a caboose it was equipped with a small baggage room to handle some of the express duties (milk, packages, etc) that a baggage car would have provided. The car is not on its original trucks but overall is in very good original condition.
