Built circa 1956 as a diesel & electric (third rail shoe) passenger locomotive for the New Haven Railroad. Sold to Metro North and used in commuterservice out of New York City, retired and sold into private ownership. Some of the mechanical details include: Good body & roof, low hour rebuilt 645C prime mover, HEP generator (appears to be complete), no blue card, missing control stand, needs new glazing, rebuilt by Conrail 1993, oil bearings, H couplers.
