Built in 1945 as a 15 ton standard gauge steam locomotive for H.C. Frick Coke Company. Used to move cars into the coking oven at the company's Kyle Mine in Fayette County, Pennsylvania. Later used to move cars into pressure treating vessels at a nearby timber treating firm. Stored inside from until the 1980's. The locomotive is equipped with steam generator, steam brakes, link & pin couplers, original paper work included with the sale, drivers are 27" diameter, cylinders are 9" diameter , 14" stroke. The trailer is a 1986 Rodgers 25 ton, detachable goose neck. The goose neck is hydraulically operated by a line from the tractor. The rear axle suspension is as built and I think is sprung, not airbags. The tires are at least 10 years, not certain and are serviceable and have decent tread. The parts that are not installed on the locomotive are present and included in the sale.
. NOTE: the sales price includes the 1986 25 ton Rodgers goose neck trailer. Please deduct $10,000 for a sale excluding the trailer.
