AUCTION RULES
****Before you can place a bid you must submit a $500 deposit by credit card to access the bid page. If you win the auction, the $500 will be deducted from your auction total. If you do not have a winning bid, your deposit will be refunded to your card within 48 hours after the end of the auction.
****No false bidding, if you place erratic bids, your deposit will not be refunded.
****Any and all inspections must be completed before the end of the auction.
**** All bids are in $1,000.00 increments
**** All cars are sold "As Is Where Is"
**** Sale will include a 8% Buyer's Premium
**** Bidding opens September 9th @ 7AM (cst) and closes at September 11th @ 7PM (cst). If you are the winning bidder, after the end of the auction you will be sent a sales contract for the entire lot of cars ( all documents will be signed via Docusign for review and digital signature). Payment will be due within 5 business days from the end of the auction. Payment will be made via wire transfer ( wire instructions will be included in the sales contract). After payment has been made, a bill of sale will then be posted via Docusign for digital signature, after the bill of sale has been signed ,full ownership and responsibility for the cars will be transferred to the Buyer.
****The Buyer will be responsible for having all cars restinciled under new reporting marks and have new AEI tags installed on all cars.
Built in 1937 by the Pullman Company as a 13 double bedroom sleeping car for the Pennsylvania Railroad. It is equipped with 13 double rooms each with an upper and lower bed and a folding wash basin and toilet. Philadelphia County operated on many of the PRR's extra fare trains such as the Broadway Limited and the General. The car is has never seen any modifications or changes since its retirement in 1967. Some of the mechanical details include roller bearings, 32v electrical system, Pullman style A/C, tread brakes, cast shoes, truck mounted cylinders, grease bearings, original and complete interior and the monsters go with the car (see photos).
PLEASE NOTE: The equipment being sold is located at property owned by the City of Noblesville, Indiana, known as Forest Park, which was previously leased to the Indiana Transportation Museum (ITM). Pursuant to the Findings of Fact, Conclusions of Law, and Order issued in Hamilton County, Indiana Cause No. 29C01-1805-PL-004434 on June 29, 2018, all structures, additions, equipment, or property on the Forest Park premises previously leased by ITM and not removed by July 12, 2018 was deemed abandoned to the City.
