Built in 1942 by the Pullman Company for the Chicago Rock Island & Pacific Railroad for service on their famed train the Golden State. Sold to the Southern Pacific in 1945 and renamed Golden Mission, retired by the SP in 1968 and sold into private ownership. Rebuilt to Amtrak certification in the mid 1980's and has been used as a private car since. Originally built as a 4 compartment, 4 double bedroom, 2 drawing room sleeper. The current configuration includes 1 master suite, 2 deluxe bedrooms, 2 compartments, crew room and a lounge area. Yosemite Falls is a unique and luxurious car and really must be seen to appreciate. The car is in full operation condition and ready for service.
