Built in the 1950's by the Budd Co. as a dining car for the Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Railroad, sold to Amtrak in the 1970's and retired in the 1980's. Some of the mechanical details include: Disc brakes, OSSH trucks, non rotating end cap bearings, I beam equalizers, fair wheels, stainless construction, decelostats, CS couplers, D-22 valves, all kitchen equipment has been removed.
