Built in 1948 by the Pullman Standard Co (Worcester Plant) for the New York, New Haven & Hartford (New Haven) Railroad. Built as a Baggage/1 day drawing room/buffet/parlor/lounge/2 day roomett car, it operated on many of the New Havens preimeier parlor trains between Boston and New York. The car was eventually retired and sold into private ownership and was purchase by the New York, Susquehanna & Western Railroad and rebuilt for use in their executive train. The car received all new side sheets and side sills, a new interior and floor plan and now includes a baggage/storage room, kitchen, pantry and large lounge/dining area. Some of the mechanical details include: Head End Power (non Amtrak), holding tanks, fuel tank, generator rack (generator not installed), Hobart dish washer, Viking electric oven w/cook top, Viking electric steak broiler, Alto Sham holding oven, Microwave, freezer, comerical refrigerators in kitchen and in baggage room, original pantry, full kitchen, current COT&S, H couplers, rubber diaphrams, great body, OSSH, oil bath bearings, D-22 valves, comp tread shoes, overhead water tanks, lounge/dining area for approx 40+ passengers, electric heat, air conditioning, good wheels. Ready for service!
