#6 was built by Vulcan Iron Works at Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania for the E.I. Dupont company as their #4 in 1923. Construction #3376. She went through several subsequent ownerships until ending up at Central Illinois Public Service in 1953. Donated to a museum in 1965 and operated on a few occasions in the late 1960s. Removed from service in 1970 with boiler problems.
Locomotive was partially disassembled to begin repairs and has been stored in pieces over last several decades, a new smoke box was rolled and is currently sitting on the pilot of the locomotive . It was last run circa 1970, will need a complete rebuilding.
