Two historic wood box cars built circa 1890-1900, one built for the Kansas City, Ft. Scott & Memphis Railroad and the other was built for the Kansas City, Memphis & Birmingham Railroad. Through a series of mergers the cars eventually became property of the FRISCO Railroad, who retired them in the 1930's and the cars were moved (with out trucks) to a local farm and encased in sheet metal as a storage shed. The KCFS&M car is the most complete of the two cars, the KCM&B car had the floor removed and a few walls. There is enough of the two cars that you can make one complete car. As mentioned the cars were built into a steel storage shed so they are virtual time capsules that have not seen the light of day for some time.
