Built by EMD for the Southern Pacific as #5377 in January 1955, then to SP #3855, rebuilt by the SP at their Sacramento shops in the 1970s and renumbered #4331 and eventually sold into private ownership. Some of the mechanical details include: Excellent low voltage wiring with no grounds detected, 16-645 block (rebuilt), waste oil sump tank, all wheels have fat rims with plenty of service life left, Hyatt oil bearings, KIM Hot Start (operates off 480v), 26L brake valves, water cooled air compressor, head lights/snow plows & ditch lights on both ends of unit, cab fully equipped with FRA glazing, great body and paint, cast shoes, unit has been stored in serviceable condition, please note that it is not equipped with Dynamic Brakes. Give this unit a fresh 92 day inspection and it will be ready to GO TO WORK!
