Built in 1991 by General Electric as a C41-8 for the Chicago & Northwestern Railroad as #8551. When Union Pacific acquired the C&NW in 1995, it was renumbered to #9098. In 2010 the locomotive was sold to Canadian National Railroad renumbered to #2133. In 2011 CN installed a remanufactured 7FDL16 EFI (electronic fuel injection) engine, added split radiator cooling, upgraded the software to include automatic engine start-stop (AESS) and applied 752-AH traction motors. Prior to retirement by CN new wheels were installed and it retained it's 26-L brake valves. Some additional information includes good batteries, new engine oil and antifreeze, GE GMG187 alternator, GY27 auxiliary alternator; Westinghouse 3CMDCB1 air compressor; ditch lights, alignment control couplers, AAR control stand; pneumatic switch gear; electronic control; cab heat: electric plus sidewall strip heaters; hot plate. Fuel oil capacity: 5,000 gallons; lubricating oil capacity: 400 gallons, dynamic brakes, 4000 HP, fuel capacity 5,000 gal, lube oil capacity 400 gal, good wiring, 3" wheels, last air date 12/24, Westinghouse 3CMDCB1 compressor, MU equipped.
