Built by Pullman in the early 1960's as commuter cars for the Chicago & Northwestern Railroad, eventually sold to and rebuilt by METRA for commuter service in Chicago, IL. There are total of 8 coaches and 3 cab cars. The cab cars are missing some controls but otherwise intact. Some of the mechanical details include: Head End Power, PA system, steel bodies (in good condition), tare weight 122,800 lbs, 161 seats, H couplers, 26-C brakes, comp shoes, 16 tons of A/C, electric floor and overhead heat, chemical toilets, Timken 6x11 bearings, emergency lights, 27 pin communication lines, interiors need cleaned but otherwise serviceable, windows will need new glazing. All cars will need some cleaning up but they are IDEAL for Polar Express & Thomas the Tank Engine events.
