UPDATE: Was last used in 2014 and then unit was stored!
Built circa 1954 by EMD as a G8 export locomotive but never shipped. It is basically a predecessor of the popular GP series locomotive which was mass produced. The locomotive worked for the last 20 years moving hopper cars around an industrial facility. It is not known when the locomotive last operated or what condition the prime mover is in. It was originally built as a six axle unity with the center axle used as an idler, when rebuilt for yard service the idler (center) axle was removed from the trucks. Some of the mechanical details include: 567-C block, roller bearings, 26 brake valves, fair body and roof, MU, wheel condition unknown.
