Built in 1953 by American Car & Foundry for the Chicago & Northwestern Railroad and operated in joint service with Union Pacific trains. Originally built as a 44 seat long distance coach, the car was eventually sold to Amtrak and renumbered to #4466. Sold into private ownership and upgraded with a generator, updated air conditioning and electric heat. Some of the mechanical details include: Comp tread shoes, D-22 valves, grease bearings, H couplers, Thermoking model GS generator, aluminum construction, good body, nice interior, PA system, DC/AC electrical system, ISSH, good wheels.
