Built in 1956 by the Budd Company for the Canadian National Railroad. Retired by CN and sold to Via Rail who rebuilt the car with updated mechanical and electrical systems. After the car was retired by VIA Rail it was sent to a shop for rebuilding. Some of the car attributes include good body and roof, ditch lights, H couplers, baggage room (used for loading/unloading wheel chairs), drop equalizer trucks, grease bearings, disc brakes, ISSH trucks, updated HVAC, 74v DC battery system, 26-L brake valves, updated propulsion system, handicap restroom, coach section has been extended into former baggage room, new engines are included with this car but have not been installed
