Southern Pacific Triple Unit Dining Car SOLD

Built in 1941 by the Pullman Company for the Southern Pacific Railroad and initially ordered for service on their famed train the "Lark" which was a luxury overnight train from Los Angeles to San Francisco. Originally built as a dormitory/kitchen - dining room- lounge articulated set, the current configuration is basically original except for the dormitory which has been removed to create additional lounge space. Originally purchased from the railroad by a Judge who planned on creating a railroad themed hotel in Texas, after his plans failed the cars were sold to another private owner who used them for entertaining on his ranch. The cars are in very original condition and would make a great addition to any tourist/dinner train or museum collection. Some of the mechanical details include: Good stainless clad bodies, H couplers, grease roller bearings, truck mounted cylinders, cast shoes, D-22 valves, updated central heat and air conditioning, original interior, original kitchen, electric range and oven added to kitchen, lounge area equipped with "Lark Club Phone Booth", original bar and fixtures.
