Built in 1954 by EMD for the Chicago Burlington & Quincy Railroad for use in passenger service. Rebuilt by Maryland Area Rail Commuter (MARC) and operated in commuter service between Washington, DC & Baltimore, MD. Unit was last in operation in 2002 and was stored serviceable. Some of the mechanical details include: HP upgraded from 2,250 to 2,400, 645EC blocks, good body, missing HEP generator, 24 brake valves, speed recorder, Hot Start, cast shoes, good to fair wheels, oil bath bearings, H couplers, 6.5 x 12 bearings.
