Southern Pacific Business Car "Santa Rosa" SOLD

Built in 1919 as a business car for the El Paso & Southwestern Railroad, sold in 1920 to the Southern Pacific Railroad and named Santa Rosa. The Southern Pacific sold the car in 1960 to the Kyle Railroad and the car was eventually sold into private ownership in 2004 and renamed Niles by current owner. Santa Rosa is a very original car and has not really seen any changes to the interor or exterior since it was sold in 1960. It would make a great addition to any collection or would be a great canidate to be rebuilt for Amtrak certification. Some of the mechanical details include:  Great body, new exterior paint, E couplers, grease bearings, drop equalizers, DC electrical system, Waukasha air conditioning sytem,  Waukasha generator, body mounted cylinders, cast shoes, car last moved in 2010, last COT&S date was in 2009, original interior with large observation lounge/secrtaries room/2 connecting staterooms/shower/dining room/crew room/kitchen. The interior of the car includes all the original fixtures and some of the original furniture. Some of the recent work done to the car includes new side and end sheet repairs, new steel on the platform and steps and new interior paint. PLEASE NOTE: The dining room table and chairs are not included in the sale of the car. All other furniture is included!
